Interests/Current Projects: I am interested in interdisciplinary research that explores the relationships between language, ecology, and human behavior. My thesis aims to explore the interconnections between language and ecology within the Amazon region and demonstrate how learning and understanding the intricacies of languages can contribute to biocultural conservation. With my work, I also aim to demonstrate the reciprocal impact nature has on culture, communication, and human-nature wellbeing.
Background: Graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in biology and linguistics and a minor in anthropology. Currently pursuing a Master's in Environmental Studies and working as a graduate research assistant.
